Spreading Our Message
In addition to our advocacy services, Speaking Up currently have 4 award winning projects and are in the process of developing more innovative projects so that we can reach more people.
Most of our current projects started in Cambridgeshire but we are setting up new projects in the Barnsley, Nottingham and Lincolnshire areas because we believe that many more people around the country could benefit hugely from our unique approach.
Our aim is therefore to disseminate our practices - to lead the way by supporting more projects to develop in the Speaking Up way. Our aim is to reach 700 individuals through our projects and more than 7000 individuals through our advocacy By 2012.
We have recently been awarded £3.2m from the DCSF to expand and replicate our disabled young people's projects across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. Click here to read the press release.
