we provide advocacy services for people with learning difficulties,mental health problems and other disabilities.

We also manage a mental health helpline for people in barnsley called BLINK.All the helpline staff have personal experience of mental health problems and offer a confidental, non-judgemental signposting service.

The Cambridshire Parliament
The Cambridgeshire Parliament is a forum for people with learning difficulties. We run it like the Parliament in Westminster. Our MPs all have learning difficulties and they are elected by the people with learning difficulties that they represent.
They have regular meetings where the MPs tell professionals what needs to change to make services better for people with learning difficulties.

Next Steps
Next Steps supports people with learning difficulties to gain more confidence and learn life skills. It does this through workshops and skills programs on things like travel skills, getting a job and confidence building.
People on the Next Steps courses also have one to one coaching to make sure they are learning what is right for them.

Publications and Resources for people with learning disabilities
We write booklets for people with learning difficulties to help them get the right information about things that are important to them.
The booklets are written in easy-read by a team of people with learning difficulties and have pictures and coloured sections so they are easy to use.
Some of the booklets are:
- Moving – about moving house
- My Choice – about making your own choices
- Sex and Sexuality – about relationships, body parts and sex
- Keeping Yourself Clean – about personal hygiene
- When Someone Dies – about how you feel when someone dies
