Speaking Up supports and empowers people with learning difficulties, disabilities and mental health problems to speak up for themselves.

What we do

Speaking Up provides advocacy services, self advocacy based projects and resources for people with learning difficulties, mental health issues and physical disabilities. Our mission is Voice – Action – Change

Advocacy PartnersWe are thrilled to announce that Speaking Up will be merging with Advocacy Partners on 1st April 2010. The merger means that we will be able to do more to enable people to have a voice that counts, learning from each other's expertise in different areas. It's business as usual for the people who use our services, but from 1st April there will be some changes that may interest you. From April we will be known as Advocacy Partners Speaking Up, a name which reflects the enviable reputations of both organisations. We will be consulting with our key stakeholders over the next few months to decide upon a final name and identity for our new organisation.

Until the launch of the new name, the Speaking Up and Advocacy Partners website addresses will remain the same. After our new name and website has been launched, you will automatically be redirected from the current sites.
