Speaking Up has been delivering advocacy and providing projects based on self-advocacy principles since 1997. Throughout this journey we have faced a number of challenges in providing truly empowering services to our service users, members and clients.

We now feel that, having overcome these challenges, we are in a good position to advise others - helping them to 'short cut' issues that we have come across and supporting them to deliver in an innovative, recognised way that achieves the best results for the individual.

In order to do this we have developed a series of resources - printed material and services provided ‘in person’ - to enable other professionals to achieve empowerment through their work.
